Hotel Anand International

This is a very nice hotel in Bodh Gaya with nice and clean rooms, less than a mile away from the Maha Bodhi temple and close to all the country specific monasteries.What's exceptional about this place is the behavior and attitude of the staff. Fantastic people all around. Especially Pawan at the restaurant, Chandan Mishra at the front desk and Parvesh (hope I got the name correct) who heads Facilities. Kind, patient and amazing service. The rest are also fantastic. I just happen to remember those names.

The rooms could be better, especially with a way to auto start the ac every time the power trips (and it trips a lot!), the force of the toilet flushes, and the lighting in the room. The breakfast needs to be better in terms of variety of items. There are hardly any proper shops/restaurants around. That said, the main market area is not too far away, so it was not a deal breaker for me. Also, the car service provider Amit is overpriced. There are other options that are more reasonably priced.

Good location to see the famous sites; spacious room with comfortable beds; good hygiene; good breakfast with variety of food to choose. Very nice dinning room. The staff are exceptionally helpful and polite. Reasonable cost for accomodation and food.

A very diverse menu and all fresh and of good taste

The parking space is low can accommodate inside only 4 cars and outside another 2~3 cars. Quite low based on the facility and could be problem for people who plan based on facility having parking

Exceptional clean place. Very functional hotel. The food in the restaurant is superb. Nice clean ac rooms big bathrooms with hot water.

Well the staff seems to be acting very differently toward a person of india than a foreigner. It seems somehow they in some mindset that they will pay them more. Stop this behaviour towards your fellow citizens when a customer is being polite it’s expected that the receiver also reciprocates.

Everything was good.

Quiet and clean hotel in a great location — in walking distance to everything yet away from the busy streets so very peaceful. Comfortable bed, polite team and quality facilities for an easy stay

Included breakfast is good value for money but it’s best to be early before the options run out (although can request items), handovers between members of the front desk could be improved

Location and food

1. Lift not working and staff not willing to co-operate even though we were with our old parents (80+age) 2. Rude room service staff3. TV was not working...before giving room to guests they must check everything is OK or not

It's location, reception, room and room service, food quality and service. Liked everything. The Restaurant Manager Mr Sanjiv was very proficient, responsive and understanding. At the reception Mr Mrityunjay and Mr Kaushal were very welcoming. Waiting staff was well versed. And it is truly an international hotel with a lot of tourists n pilgrims from abroad.

I thing this is just perfect in its class.

Door lock malfunction

staff are kind , food is good and very affordable

requires maintanence, got locked inside the toilet since the lock was unable to open due to rusted quality

Place is clean. Facilities are good. Very good value for money.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. If I had to give some feedback, the restaurant could improve - breakfast was meant to be from 7-10am, we go down at 9:15am and the heat is already turned off on all the food. By 9:25am they start packing up everything. Service in the restaurant was a bit strange and lost in translation. Also lots of mosquitoes and flies in the lobby.

Initial room had blocked shower drainage which meant it was not cleaned properly. We were promptly moved to another room as soon as we raised our concern.

4Star Scam

I had booked because of the great ratings but got disappointed big times after being scammed. I visited Gaya for Pind daan which as per Hindu belief is a ritual to offer homage to the departed soul. In order not to get scammed by the priests, it is recommended to consult with the hotel directly making sure you can perform your rituals in peace and without any hassle and loss of money. Thus I reached out to front desk officer at Anand Hotel Mr. Chandan Kumar Mishra which turned out to be my biggest mistake. Mr. Chandan Kumar Mishra and his brother Nandan Kumar Mishra who is a priest are there to scam innocent hotel guests.

stuff went In to my room with out permission.my ring was last In swimming pool and never find out and i was swimming last at night before cleaning pool.

Very neat and clean facility. Good features and rooms were quite bug, spacious, clean and maintained. Restaurant and lobby was also very nice.

Towels provided were very hard.

Very humble, submissive and humble staff. The food served was also very good. There's lot of emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
